Rachel Neeley was 3 years old when she began having back pain and a difficult-to-treat fever in 2007. Her parents raced her to the Emergency Room at Children's Hospital & Medical Center, thinking their little girl might have appendicitis. A CT scan ruled out appendicitis but did reveal troubling masses in the little girl's kidneys.
